Film Title...

The title of my film is 'Salience'. This generally means being noticeable and important, which I believe people who suffer from Schizophrenia are in society. In neuroscience, 'salience' means the perceptual quality by which an observable thing stands out relative to its environment. This relates to my protagonist because I want him to stand out to the audience to help them understand his condition. 'Aberrant salience' in the sense of Schizophrenia, means the positive symptoms of the condition - the hallucinations and delusions - come about because patients see meaning where there is none. This relates to my film because the protagonist has a hallucination that brings positivity to his life.
